He was previously Chief Executive Officer of National Cooperative Company for Insurance. Mousa Alrubaian brings extensive experience from
previous roles at Saudi Re,
Najm, Tawuniya and Saudi Industrial Development Fund.
Mousa’s other roles include: Member of the Board of Directors of Samba
Financial Group, Marsh Saudi Arabia Insurance and Reinsurance Broking,
Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company, and Société Générale Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed Akhtars is a former partner at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and has worked in numerous global offices,
including London, Lagos, and New York. He has been a venture capitalist, investment banker, and
strategist. From 1979 to 1980, he was seconded to the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) to work on
the consolidation of individual electrical companies into SCECOs. Served as EVP & COO of Al-Dabbagh,
where he developed the business into an internationally diversified group (Saudi Arabia). Also co-founded
Dabbagh Information Technology in partnership with SoftBank, working with Annis Jallaf, then President of
Emirates Bank, on various transactions. This included the launch of PC Magazine and other tech products
across four media platforms in the MENA region.
He led the privatisation and subsequent acquisition of KESC (K-Electric), securing $720 million in foreign
direct investment for K-Electric. Established Pakistan’s first $680 million+ consortium of private sector
lenders, comprising multilateral institutions (ADB and IFC) and domestic financial institutions (the top five
local banks), for K-Electric. Served as Executive Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee,
funded and oversaw the expansion of generation and distribution infrastructure. Prior to this, he was CEO
of the KASB Group in Pakistan a joint venture with Merrill Lynch and Executive Director of KASB Bank, Security House, and Mutual Funds. Akhtar has successfully closed some of the most complex M&A
transactions globally, with a total value exceeding $3 billion.
Other major assignments include AT&T divestiture, litigation work at the World Court, and M&A advisory to
the Savola Group in Saudi Arabia, where he helped secure highly profitable investments in the Middle East
and CIS countries. Experience in the oil industry includes crude oil measurement, API calculation and
pricing, as well as the restructuring of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Naveed Manazir has over 25 years experience of working with KPMG (London), AES Corp, General Electric (GE – USA and Sub-Sahara Africa) and large private equity firms in managing, selling, operating, developing, financing (equity and debt) power generation and distribution assets (mostly gas plus wind, solar and bio-mass) in - Dominican Republic, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Pakistan, sub- SaharaAfrica (Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal).
- As part of GE’s senior leadership team developed strategic partnership with between GE and Power China to cover Sub-Sahara Africa. Developed a pipeline of projects worth $500M with over 5,000 MW capacities; increased sales by 30% and drove market share to approximately 60% of the Nigerian power generation market. Secured long-term service contracts on many of theprivatized assets.
- As AES nominated Board Member led the largest no-recourse financing of $400M in Sub Sahara Africa for AES Sonel (national integrated utility) in Cameroon. This was followed by addingnon-recourse financed additional generation capacity in AES Dibamba (100MW) and AES Kribi (200MW) in Cameroon.
- Led the management and financing for AES power project in Nigeria (450MW barge mounted gas fired plant).
- Led the development and financing of Andres (450MW) in the Dominican Republic.

Ali is a senior power systems and energy expert with deep experience in grid
operations, renewable energy integration, and transmission & distribution. He
has led complex, high-impact energy projects across regions, driving innovation

Over his career, Ali has worked with top-tier institutions including National
Transmission & Despatch Company Limited, Asian Development Bank, E.ON SE,
GOPA-International Energy Consultants, and SAP Middle East & North Africa.

and project finance, green financing, private equity, private credit, mezzanine, and structured products. Moosa has a proven track record of advancing public and private sector strategic agendas
through landmark deals and innovative financing solutions.
Moosa previously led M&A and Advisory at HBL and was Managing Director at Concilium & Co,
overseeing strategic client transactions. Earlier, at CIBC Capital Markets (Canada), he held senior
roles, leading due diligence and integration for CIBC’s $5B acquisition of Private Bancorp Inc. He
earned an Achievers’ Award for shaping Canada’s Basel risk framework and served as Chairman of
the Canadian Bankers Association & OSFI’s liquidity risk committee, also acting as lead negotiator
with the New York Federal Reserve.
